Thomas Baptista D.El.Ed. College, Papdy, Vasai (W), Maharashtra was established in 2006. The College was granted permission by NCTE on September 27, 2006 (Regd. No. WRC/5-6/89/2006) and also by SCERT on November 14, 2006 (Regd. No. NCTE/2006-2007/34-4772), INDEX NO. 1540 dated 19th May 2007). It is an unaided college with Christian Minority status. The medium of instruction is English. The College has an intake capacity of 50 seats as per NCTE order WRC/NCTE/2006-2007/34-4772.

Located in a flourishing milieu, it overlooks the majestic ‘Our Lady of Grace Cathedral’, creating a conducive environment for instilling ethics and teacher training. The establishment of the college was like a silent wish granted to the people of Vasai and Palghar district as there was no English Medium D.Ed. college in the area. This College is managed by Thomas Baptista High School Educational Trust (D-4) Thane.
